KGJJ Team Trips

Travel, Adventures, Training and Shared Experience
Team trips are one of the most meaningful parts of life at Kroyler Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
Beyond regular classes and time on the mats, these trips give students the opportunity to travel, explore new places, and experience life together as a team. They are about stepping outside the routine, building deeper connections, and creating memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.
While primarily designed for KGJJ members and their families, team trips are also open to anyone who may be interested in training, traveling, and sharing experiences with our community.

What Are KGJJ Team Trips?
KGJJ team trips are group experiences built around connection, exploration, and shared adventure.
Some trips include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training at respected academies or special seminars. Others are designed primarily around travel, culture, and enjoying time together in new environments. Each trip is planned intentionally, balancing structure with flexibility so the experience feels memorable rather than rushed.
These are not competitions or retreats. They are opportunities to experience something meaningful together. Think adventuring with a group of like minded individuals!
Training Is Optional — The Experience Is the Point
While many team trips include training opportunities, training is not always the central focus.
Some trips are centered on cultural experiences, travel, and simply enjoying the journey together. Training may be part of the itinerary, informal, or not included at all. What remains consistent is the sense of camaraderie, respect, and shared experience.
Whether on the mats or exploring a new place, the goal is connection and enjoyment.
Places We’ve Been and Experiences We’ve Shared
As a team, we’ve traveled to places such as Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Iceland, Ireland, South Korea, Bonaire, Spain, Italy, and Amsterdam. Each destination offered something unique — from culture and history to adventure, training opportunities, and time spent simply enjoying being together.
From shared meals in Barcelona, and conversations in Irish pubs, to exploring and getting lost in cities like Tokyo, seeing amazing landscapes in Iceland, and experiencing different traditions in South Korea, these trips have created stories and memories that students continue to talk about long after returning home.
Every trip adds another chapter to the KGJJ story.
Who Team Trips Are For
Team trips are open to adult students of all experience levels, as well as non-members who are just looking for an amazing group to have an adventure with.
You do not need to be a competitor or an advanced practitioner to participate. What matters most is a positive attitude, respect for the group, and a willingness to be part of the experience.
Trips are designed to be unique, inclusive, supportive, memorable and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Thoughtfully Planned and Led
KGJJ team trips are organized with care and intention by Kroyler Gracie and his team.
Planning focuses on creating smooth, enjoyable experiences where participants can relax and be present. Group dynamics, logistics, and pacing are all considered so the trip feels exciting without being overwhelming.
Leadership is present throughout each trip to support the group, maintain a positive environment, and ensure everyone feels comfortable, included, and taken care of.
Why These Trips Matter
These trips and adventures will give you memories and experiences that will last a lifetime. Such shared experiences build a different kind of bond.
Team trips allow students to connect beyond training, strengthen friendships, and see one another in new contexts. These moments often become some of the most meaningful memories of a student’s time with KGJJ.
They reinforce the idea that Jiu-Jitsu is not just something you practice — it’s a community that brings people together in lasting ways.
