Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Kids

Kids Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 4-6)
Building Confidence, Coordination, and Positive Habits
Our Kids Jiu-Jitsu program for ages 4–6 is designed to introduce young children to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.
At this stage, the focus is on helping children become comfortable in a class setting while developing coordination, balance, listening skills, and confidence. Classes are energetic and engaging, but always guided by clear expectations and positive reinforcement.
This program serves as the foundation for our Youth Jiu-Jitsu program, introduces them to bullyproofing techniques, and helps children build the habits and skills they will rely on as training becomes more structured over time.

What Classes Focus On
Classes emphasize basic movement, body awareness, and learning how to participate in a group setting. Through age-appropriate drills, games and activities, children learn how to follow instructions, move safely, and interact respectfully with others.
While introductory Jiu-Jitsu techniques and bullyproofing techniques are included in the program's curriculum, the goal at this age is not technical mastery. The priority is comfort, consistency, and developing confidence through participation.
Character and Healthy Habits
Character development is built directly into our kids program.
Through consistent routines and instructor guidance, students begin learning respect, self-control, patience, and responsibility in simple, age-appropriate ways. These lessons are reinforced in every class, helping children develop healthy habits that support learning, focus, and behavior both on and off the mats.
This is further reinforced with activities and exercises that kids are able to do at home.

Structure and Safety
Classes are carefully structured and closely supervised by experienced instructors who understand how young children learn.
Safety, clear boundaries, and positive communication are always prioritized. Children are never pushed beyond what is appropriate for their age or attention level, and instructors guide each class with patience and encouragement.
Parents are always welcome to observe classes and encouraged to communicate with the coaching team.

Preparing for the Next Stage
As children grow and mature, the skills learned in the 4–6 program naturally prepare them for our Youth Jiu-Jitsu program (ages 7–12).
Students who transition from this program are already familiar with class structure, basic movements, and expectations, making the next stage of training smooth and confidence-building.
Getting Started
