Black Lion Jiu-Jitsu is an official affiliate school within the Kroyler Gracie Jiu-Jitsu association.
While independently owned and operated, Black Lion Jiu-Jitsu follows the core curriculum, technical standards, and teaching philosophy established by Kroyler Gracie. Students train within the same structured system and culture that define KGJJ, while benefiting from strong local leadership and community.
Black Lion Jiu-Jitsu is fully part of the KGJJ familia — one team, one standard.

Instruction and Curriculum
Training at Black Lion Jiu-Jitsu adheres to the KGJJ core curriculum.
Instruction emphasizes strong fundamentals, sound mechanics, positional understanding, and long-term development. Classes are structured intentionally, prioritizing quality execution, safety, and consistency over shortcuts or trends.
This alignment ensures students receive instruction that reflects the same standards found throughout the KGJJ association.

Led by Chad Pomeroy
Black Lion Jiu-Jitsu is led by Chad Pomeroy, an instructor who has trained for over 10 years with Kroyler Gracie.
Chad’s leadership reflects a commitment to technical precision, responsible instruction, and maintaining a positive, focused training environment. His approach emphasizes clarity, consistency, and helping students develop skill and confidence over time. Chad is overly committed to his students growth and success, showing an admirable level of care for each of his students.
Students benefit from hands-on instruction within a system rooted in proven methodology and long-term mentorship.
One Association, Full Access
Students training at Black Lion Jiu-Jitsu are part of the broader KGJJ association.
Membership allows students to train at any KGJJ location, including the main academy, satellite schools, and other affiliate schools. This shared access supports flexibility, travel, and deeper connection across the association.
No matter the location, students are welcomed as part of the same team.
